Opinion Research Solutions, LLC, was formed in 2004, but its senior
partners have been in the business of marketing, public relations
and public opinion research for, collectively, over 50 years. ORS
came into being as demands for research services have expanded in
all types of organizations. We provide public input to you so that
you can make the best decisions possible. Today, the demand to take
the public's opinions into consideration when making organizational
decisions, has never been greater.
ORS is a full service public opinion research firm. From drafting
the questions, to asking them by telephone, internet, or personal
interview, to coding and analyzing the responses, to writing the
final report--we handle every phase of the research process. All
our employees are highly trained in the art of gathering information.
Our response rates (the percentage of completed survey responses
we obtain) are among the highest in the industry. All survey opinion
research conducted by ORS is scientific; findings are guaranteed
generalized to the population from which the sample is drawn. Further,
findings are guaranteed reliable to the 95 percent level of confidence—this
is better than or comparable to every major polling and opinion research
operation in the country. In addition to survey research, ORS provides
other types of marketing and opinion research options you may need,
including informal techniques like focus groups and depth interviews,
and formal scientific experiments.
Ruthann Weaver Lariscy, Ph.D.

Concurrent
with founding Opinion Research Solutions, LLC, Ruthann W. Lariscy,
Ph.D. is a research professor at the University of Georgia where
she has been on the faculty for over 20 years. Her work has been
written about in such widely acclaimed publications as The New Scientist,
the Washington Post, and the Boston Globe. She has been a guest on
numerous radio and television shows. National Public Radio did a
one hour special on some of her public opinion research. Most of
her research and professional endeavors focus on how communication
by different types of organizations and agencies affects public opinion
of those organizations, be they government agencies, educational
systems, large corporations, politicians or non-profit health agencies.
Dr. Lariscy provides public opinion research and communication training
to a variety of organizations across several industries—most
frequently transportation, food production and service, and health.

Ph.D., APR

of Opinion Research Solutions, LLC, Jeffrey K. Springston, Ph.D.,
APR is research professor in the Department of Advertising and Public
Relations in the Grady College of Journalism & Mass
Communication at the University of Georgia. In addition to publishing
in numerous scholarly academic journals, his work has been written
about in such publications as the Wall Street Journal, Health and
Medicine Week, and Life Sciences Weekly. Previously he worked in
corporate public relations and as a broadcast news director. Dr.
Springston has directed numerous research studies for corporate,
government, education, non-profit, and health care organizations.
He is also an expert in developing promotional interactive computer
video programs and online resources. He has received over $6 million
in research funding from such agencies as the National Institutes
of Health.
